What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite, also known as “the orange peel” is the formation of fat beneath the surface of the skin which creates dimples and lumps. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs but can also occur in other areas. Cellulite can affect males, but in females this is much more common (over 85% suffer from it regardless of age or weight). The exact cause of cellulite is still unknown but can be a mixture of different factors such as: hormones, poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, accumulated toxins, genetics, weight gain, lack of activity, or pregnancy.

How We Treat Cellulite

Cellulite is usually a difficult condition to treat. At Ella Di Rocco we use a combination of manual treatments and machines that target different types of cellulite effectively. Contrarily to common belief, not all cellulite is the same. If you suffer from SOFT CELLULITE, you are more likely to have it on the thighs, abdomen, buttocks and arms. This type of cellulite is more apparent when sitting down rather than when standing and is usually not painful when touched. If you suffer from EDEMATOUS CELLULITE, it often affects thighs and knees but most frequently the lower legs. This type of cellulite is usually caused by poor circulation and significant fluid retention. The skin might be painful when touched. The third type of cellulite is known as HARD CELLULITE, this is localised on the hips, thighs, and around the knees. Hard cellulite is compact and painful when touched. This is the cellulite that is the hardest to target and may require more treatments with a combination of change in lifestyle and activity. At Ella Di Rocco we do not treat all cellulite in the same way, there is a specific treatment protocol for each type of cellulite in order to target it in the most effective way. There is no downtime for any of the treatments, no scarring or bruising and you can return to your normal life straight after, knowing that there are no side-effects to our treatments and that you are in safe hands.

The most suitable treatment for the client will be assessed through an initial complimentary consultation.

Treatments for cellulite:

Redustim

Is medical device which aims, through BioMagnetic activation, to progressively eliminate subcutaneous fat as well as ‘bad’ abdominal (visceral) fat, the main contributing cause behind cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, CVA and certain cancers. This is a clinically recognised treatment which offers visible results in 12 sessions of 30 minutes, with average loss observed of 6.1 cm.

Radio Frequency

Is a non-invasive treatment that tightens, lifts and firms the skin and burns fat.

Unlike other treatments on the market, Radio Frequency is a very relaxing treatment that increases the production of collagen and tightens the elastin fibre. With Radio Frequency we are able to target excess fat, sagging skin as well as cellulite.

Shockwave Therapy

An acoustic wave that enhances micro-circulation and oxygen supply to the affected areas, which results in an increased blood supply and removal of excess fluid. This treatment is effective in removing the effects of cellulite, circumference around legs, hips and arms as well as eliminate the factors that cause uneven surface of the skin making it significantly improve.

Needle-Free Mesotherapy (ChronoCare)

The transdermal delivery of this therapy brings the active ingredients to the deepest levels of the skin and strengthens the effect for lipolithic treatment and effective anti-cellulite action, visible after a few sessions. It is cosmetic beauty treatment for cellulite, fatty deposits and tissue relaxation. The primitive plankton strengthens the action of the marine biosomes for an extraordinarily effective result.

Pressotherapy

A medical and cosmetic treatment that uses air pressure on different areas of the body to improve lympathic drainage. By alternating compression and decompression, it effectively stimulates the lympathic system, causing the appearance of cellulite and effects of water retention to diminish.

Thalassotherapy

From the Greek thalasso meaning ‘sea’ and therapia meaning ‘treatment’, uses the healing and beneficial properties of the sea and the marine environment for your health and wellbeing. Effective for draining excess water in the body, detoxing, and slimming. Thalassotherapy also has amazing effects as a metabolic activator, as a swelling reductor, and most effective as an anti-cellulite treatment.

Body Bandages

A fascinating ancient technique used to target specific areas of the body. Our bandage treatments can effectively remodel the silhouette, drain excess water, eliminate localised cellulite, and fight adipose fat.

Anti-Cellulite Massage

This massage stimulates the lymphatic system and improves circulation, which alleviates problems of puffiness and improves the overall texture and contour of the skin.

Hifu

A treatment with high intensity focused ultrasound offering non-invasive alternative to a surgical liposuction, for removing fat in non-obese patients. It is a procedure where heat from the high intensity transducers deliver macro energy into subcutaneous fat to selectively remove fat cells at your desired areas.
