What Is Oily Skin?

The main symptoms of oily skin are large pores, mostly on the nose and cheek area, shiny complexion (not just in the T-zone, forehead, nose and chin, but on the entire face), blackheads and pimples.

The main causes are genetics, hormonal changes and imbalances, seasonal changes, medication, diet, stress, cosmetics and over-cleansing or over-exfoliating the surface of the skin.

How We Treat Oily Skin

With our selection of various non-invasive treatments, we aim to treat oily skin from the inside out and to consider all factors contributing to these symptoms in order to find the most effective treatment. Treatment will depend on the type of skin the patient has. The most suitable treatment for the client will be assessed through an initial complimentary consultation.

Treatments for oily skin:

Oxygen Therapy

Oxygenated skin is essential for our well-being: from approximately 25 years of age, the quantity of oxygen in our skin starts to diminish. This isĀ one of the causes of diminished elasticity, visible wrinkles and fine lines, and breakouts. Oxygen therapy in combination with our marine-based facials, is an excellent and effective treatment to dry the active spots and restore homeostasis to the skin.

LED Light Therapy

Also known as Light Emitting Diode therapy, LED Light Therapy is able to penetrate to different depths of the skin using different wavelengths of lights. This treatment is very effective in fighting acne and bringing back to homeostasis oily skin.

Impure/Oily Skin Facial (Perfectio)

A marine-based facial designed to revitalise the skin from the inside out. Using pure marine collagen and marine plankton, this treatment will effectively remove skin impurities and oiliness, leaving the skin less oily, yet hydrated and moisturised. This is the perfect facial for those clients that suffer from acne, breakouts, or sebaceous oily skin.
