What Is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a skin condition that mainly affects the face and neck, however other parts of the body can be affected as well. It can usually be noticed on the central third of the face, especially on the nose. Some symptoms of rosacea include redness of the face, tiny red pimples and fine red vascular lines on the surface of the skin. A number of possible factors have been identified that can contribute to Rosacea, such as abnormalities in the blood vessels of the face or a reaction of microscopic face mites, , but there are also several triggers that can make it worse including exposure to sunlight, hot or cold weather, wind, stress, hot drinks, alcohol and caffeine, spicy food and strenuous exercise. Untreated rosacea tends to worsen over time.

How We Treat Rosacea

Even though it is not possible to prevent rosacea, there are number of ways in which we can diminish the symptoms of the condition. Rosacea can be a very bothersome and embarrassing condition.

The suitable treatment for the client will be assessed through an initial complimentary consultation. The consultation will involve a deep analysis of the skin type in order to assess the most effective treatment.

Treatments for rosacea:

LED Light Therapy

Also known as Light Emitting Diode therapy, is able to penetrate using different lights, different depths of the skin by causing various reactions such as plumping skin, reducing wrinkles. LED light therapy is very effective for rosacea as it can reduce inflammation and purify the skin.

BioMagnetic Treatment

Is able to counteract the main causes of rosacea by restoring cellular homeostasis (balance). All that happens also through the elimination of oxidative stress that takes place eliminating the accumulation of free Radicals (now recognised as the main cause of senescence and skin problems) and increasing the immune system’s defences. A very relaxing treatment that will improve the appearance and texture of the skin.

Oxygen Therapy

Oxygen is essential for our well-being, from approximately the age of 25, the quantity of oxygen in our skin starts to diminish which is one of the causes diminished elasticity, visible wrinkles and fine lines. Oxygen therapy in combination with our marine-based facials is also very effective in treating skin problems such as rosacea.
